Latest News! 2021
I have just seen that I have not posted to this blog since 2019!. So to rectify that I will try to catch you up on latest events. This year has of course been hampered greatly by the Covid lockdown, no exhibitions have gone ahead for the last 20 months at least and ones that I thought may have a chance this year are also on hold until next year.
I have just had a painting accepted into this year's Royal Ulster Academy's annual exhibition. I have had one in every year for the last 3 years and of course I am thrilled. I am hoping that we can make it up to Belfast for the opening.
I have also have representation in 3 new galleries this year - The Russel Gallery in Co. Clare, The Stafford Northcote Gallery in Kinsale and The Jennifer Hart Gallery in Blackrock Dublin. All have made sales along with my existing galleries so things are ticking along nicely. but saying that I do miss the buzz of a good exhibition, meeting collectors and artist buddies for a catch up.
It is a solitary occupation, being an artist, so one loses touch with other people and friends. Well I am hoping for better things next year, though this blooming virus is not letting go so easily. but hey we have to look on the bright side of life, although I can see that the long Covid is the next worry, which can be hard to diagnose, though I know several close people with it and it is debilitating.
Well that's a brief run down of my artistic life, by the way I am available for commissions, just contact me via this web-site if you have a special or unique painting in mind.
